Opočno

The historic town of Opočno is set in the foothills of the Orlické mountains, where you can see a Renaissance castle with an English park, danes and mouflons, or the Marian Church.

The city is also the birthplace of the famous Czech painter, graphic artist and illustrator František Kupka.

In summer, you can use the Broumar swimming pool.

There are 4 bedrooms in our charming villa.

Ratibořice

The most famous work of a Czech writer Božena Němcová is ‘The Grandmother’ and takes place in and around Ratibořice.

The local castle, Staré bělidlo or Rudra’s mill are popular tourist destinations.

Kostelec nad Orlicí

There is an Empire style castle with a park in Kostelec nad Orlicí on the western edge of the town.

When you are in the park, Toni’s castle cafe is a must!

Častolovice

There’s an exhibition set up in the Renaissance castle, which introduces the life of the nobility in the Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque, Rococo, Empire to Biedermeier periods.

In the castle park there is a menagerie, popular especially with children.

Orlické mountains

If you drive a few kilometers to the Orlické Mountains, you can enjoy walking and stunning views.

We recommend Masaryk’s chalet Šerlich, the viewpoint in Velká Deštná or the church in Neratov.

Places of interest

From the nearby area, we also recommend visiting Nové Město nad Metují, Náchod, Rychnov nad Kněžnou or the pilgrimage site Rokole.

For more historically oriented guests, there are the Dobrošov artillery fortress and the Hanička fortress nearby.You can also see the national cultural monument Probošt’s nativity scene in Třebechovice pod Orebem, which is only 13 km away.
